Our Journey

From our beginnings as a small community group, ANYO has grown into a thriving, youth-led movement championing inclusion, empowerment, and belonging for newcomer youth across Ottawa and beyond.

2020

Formed as a grassroots community group. First soccer league and youth programs launched.

2021

Registered Non-Profit Status. Expanded programs and partnerships with local schools and organizations.

2023

Strategic Partnerships established (Social Planning Council of Ottawa, Ottawa Footy7, Jumpstart Canada). Grew into a city-wide youth empowerment initiative. Hosted signature events and league tournaments.

2025

Registered Charity Status Achieved Major awards and recognition for youth impact. Celebrated five years of programming and positive change. Expanded to serve newcomer youth nationally.
